He graduated from Dominguez High School, in Compton and will start at California State University, Long Beach as a Graphic Design major. Edgar is the true definition of what it means to be a DRJ scholar. We wholeheartedly believe in Edgar and are humbled to be a part of his academic journey.

Yazmin was the scholarship recipient for the 2015-2016 school year. Yazmin graduated from West Adams Preparatory High School and is now at West Los Angeles College. She hopes to transfer to a four year university and study Nursing, with an end goal of becoming a pediatrician. We cannot be any prouder of Yazmin and of her continued success.

Hugo was also chosen to be the third annual recipient of the DRJ scholarship. He graduated from Bell High School, and will start as a Mechanical Engineer as East Los Angeles College. We were taken away by Hugo's story and that he will amount to only great things. There is not a better person to represent the DRJ scholarship than Hugo, and we could not be any prouder.
